„I have cordial memories of... the priests from the Kopiec hill”
Jan Paweł II
I have cordial memories of all the convents and monastic orders all over the Wadowice region, that is to say.....the priests from the Kopiec hill.
John Paul II
The year 1909 witnessed the purchase, by priests, of a land on the Kopiec hill including a tavern and a brewery. It was on that place that the present Marianum College, founded by Alojzy Majewski, was constructed. The name of that building refers to the special St. Mary's Worship. Over the years in the building there was a school, a senior and a junior theological seminaries as well as a hospital for people suffering from tuberculosis. During the World War II Luftwaffe pilots had their military college there. Recently the friars from the Kopiec hill have arranged the exhibition presenting numerous pilgrimages made by the Pope, John Paul II.
